MCIEA Cross-Consortium Data Team Meeting Agendas
Kickoff Meeting- Proposed agenda (90 mins):
- Introductions (10 mins); “Fears and Hopes” protocol from the Appreciative Inquiry guide (20 mins); discussion of group goals, in a gallery walk format, where participants respond to the guiding questions below (40 mins); discussion of meeting logistics and the structure of the group’s work together (20 mins).
- Introduction question:
- Which of the following best describes your school/district: open to any questions that may arise from SQM data; identified an area of focus within SQM categories, but have not developed a specific research question or topic or focus; identified a specific research question and topic of focus and would like to use SQM data to pursue that question/topic in more detail?
- Guiding questions for the kickoff meeting:
- What are you goals for the cross-consortium team? What are appropriate monthly benchmarks for reaching those goals? What specific outcomes would you like to accomplish?
- What does equity mean for you/your school community? What specific equity issues would you like to address?
- How can our work together connect to your individual professional goals and/or your personal beliefs about school and society?
- What are the core norms or practices that you’d like to use to guide our work together?
- Discussion of meeting logistics and next steps:
- Who’s voice/perspective needs to be included in order to reach your goals?
- What is the best way for us to hold each other accountable without creating extra work?
- Do you have any edits or feedback on the initial plan as outlined below? Especially: preferred meeting length? Meeting frequency? Structure of HW assignments? Best way to share notes and next steps?
